i'm in the market for a compression pedal. i want one that doesn't suck your tone, and no, i'm not just in it for the sustain either (though that is a major plus ;D ). i've been researching and trying a few and have heard fantastic things about a 4 knob keeley and compROSSer and such. what are top 4 or 5 favorites? thank you!
Just another opinion, but that Digitech digidelay can actually be pretty awesome. Deerhunter used it profusely during the cryptograms era (nowadays bradford pretty much just uses it on his vocals with that 4 second looper). I've had mine for about 3 years now, still works great. I upgraded to a timeline for my guitar, but i still sometimes use the digidelay. for $100 bucks it's a great deal and the "analogue/tape" setting sounds pretty.
I don’t care who uses the Digidelay, it still sucks. If I meet Bradford Cox I’m gonna tell him that I love his music and that he should throw that shit away and get some real delay because he’s rich and having a Digidelay on your board while being a real musician is just embarrassing.
What do you think about the Boss DD2 and the Danelectro Reel Echo? ( i have them). Have you tried the VHT V-Drive? I have one since five weeks ago and it´s very useful and wonderful.
I don’t really like any of those pedals. The Boss DD-2 is just like the DD-3 except it doesn’t sound as clean, the VHT V-Drive is alright I guess and here at Gearwhore we don’t endorse the purchase of Danelectro products because they hate gay people.
Hey, so my band Survival Club is doing a show at Architekt Music in butler new joisey on April 7th. Tickets are $10 if you buy tickets through the band or $12 at the door, please come out and support us at our first show in a while, we’d really appreciate it, well also be giving away free copies of our EP! :]
This is the band I am in. As I mentioned before, we have a show, but here are the details. You(person(or otherwise) who reads this) should go it’ll be fun.

Hear ye tri-state area followers. Go see David’s band. They’re pretty good. Also… David looks a lot like Jonny Greenwood in a weird way. So there’s that.
Do you know what pedals Ed O'brien of Radiohead uses for the "How To Disappear Completely"
He uses a Rickenbacker 360 12-String + an Ebow + an octave up harmony + a shit ton of reverb + a shit ton of delay. I’m not sure exactly what pedals he uses though, because Kid A came out 11 years ago and Ed updates is pedalboard with every album.
For psychedelic rock and Alter Bridge style hard rock which delay would you go with: 1) MXR carbon copy Or 2) Line 6 Echo Park
"Psychedelic rock" automatically implies the use of tape delay, so just get a Line 6 DL4. That way you can actually switch back and forth between tape delay and another staple of psychedelic rock: reverse delay.
wondering your thoughts on the digitech digidelay. i've had two and both have broken (on light gets stuck lit while no effects are produced) within a month! thinking about replacing it this time around with a boss dd-3
Just avoid DigiTech in general. The only validations for their existence are the Whammy and the Jamman.
