I have a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and I want another amp to play with two amps. What amp do you think that would combine with the sound of my Hot Rod? I play New-wave, Postpunk

the hot rod deluxe does niether sound particularly well as its really a blues/garage sounding amp, but its okay because they retain value. See if you can pick up a mesa boogie. it has the smooth cleans and angry dirty channels that those two styles really demand. one combo mesa should be fine. speaking with bobby though he suggests the AC30 or fender twin.

could you guys recommend a cheap pitch shifting pedal for adding bass to demos with a guitar? I'd rather buy something than lug my bass to/from my studio. thanks!

what is your interpretation of cheap? the EHX octave multiplexer is the way to go if youre looking for anything under 30 but is never recommended. whammy 4 turn up for 80 quite frequently which is really an investment since it doesnt a myriad of other useful things. if you can find a mini pog then thats also sweet but the cheapest ive seen em is 110 ish

Hey, i've been thinking about getting a chorus and a flanger, and i thought about the EHX Electric mistress, and a Small Clone, but then a friend told me about the EHX Polychorus. Which one should I get?

I have owned a small clone and to date its my favorite pedal period. The other guys on here might not agree with me but i always thought the EVH flange to be pretty cool. thats if you have the resources to get your hands on one. If you have a budget the small clone is still pretty affordable and the BOSS entry level flange isnt so tragic for 40 dollars. hope this helped.

I'm trying to design my board but I need help making some decisions. First, do you guys think that I could get away with using 2 analog delays without tap tempo or anything fancy? I would need to get a dotted eighth sound but I'd be using a Malekko 616 and a Deluxe Memory Man XO with the DMM set up for dotted eighth. Or should I get something with a tap tempo? Second, do you guys think I should be taking the minimalistic approach when it comes to the amount of pedals I actually have on my board?

This all depends on what kind of music you play as well as your personal preferences when setting up your rig in the home/studio/live. i have owned the memory man xo and the memory boy deluxe at different times and its just much easier to have something with a dotted function. makes adjusting settings mid set completely simple.

What do you guys think? Is this shit cool or is there like way too much going on?

I wrote this a while ago, but I forgot to post it on here. It took me fucking forever to finish this shit though. I don’t think I’ve ever spent more time working on any other track. I guess it came out alright.

Beloved GEARWHORE followers, here’s a song I wrote sorta recently. It features some Marvin Gaye Samples, so there’s that.
